USING DIGITAL CULTURAL DIPLOMACY TO PROMOTE NATIONAL INTERESTS IN THE GLOBAL INFORMATION SPACE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the use of digital cultural diplomacy to promote national interests in the global information space. The transformation of traditional cultural diplomacy in the digital age is analyzed and the key tools, opportunities and challenges of digital cultural diplomacy are considered. The main digital tools of cultural diplomacy are identified, including social media, virtual cultural events and online platforms. Particular attention is paid to the role of social networks in promoting national culture and values. The potential of digital cultural diplomacy is revealed to achieve various goals: improving bilateral relations, supporting trade and tourism, facilitating educational and cultural exchanges, and countering disinformation in the context of hybrid warfare. Examples of successful use of digital tools in cultural diplomacy are given, in particular the “Global Digital Museum” and virtual concerts. The key challenges of digital cultural diplomacy are analyzed, such as the spread of disinformation, censorship problems and restrictions on access to digital platforms in some countries, as well as the difficulty of measuring the effectiveness of digital diplomatic initiatives. The prospects for the development of digital cultural diplomacy are considered, in particular the integration of innovative technologies. The importance of developing comprehensive digital strategies and cooperation between the public and private sectors to maximize the potential of digital cultural diplomacy is emphasized. The need for further research is emphasized to develop methods for assessing the effectiveness of digital diplomatic initiatives and studying the possibilities of applying the latest technologies in this area. The importance of digital cultural diplomacy as a powerful tool for promoting national interests and forming a positive image of the state in the international arena is emphasized. Further exploration of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence or virtual media, will provide new opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of digital cultural diplomacy. Continuous innovation and adaptation will ensure that digital diplomacy remains an important tool for advancing cultural and foreign policy goals in the future.
