ANALYSIS OF THE STATE OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES OF UKRAINE IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION
Abstract
The article examines the main indicators of innovative activity in Ukraine and evaluates Ukraine's place in the global ranking of innovations. The main goal of the study is the analysis of the main indicators of innovative activity in Ukraine and the assessment of Ukraine's place in the global ranking of innovations. An analysis of the indicators of registration of objects of industrial property in Ukraine and NAAS for 2020-2023, objects of intellectual property rights for plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine and NAAS for 2020-2023 was carried out, the share of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences was determined of Ukraine in registered patents in Ukraine as a whole, 2020-2023. Summary Ukraine's ranking in the Global Innovation Index 2020-2023. The main advantages of Ukraine were determined based on the indicators of the Global Innovation Index: the number of registered utility models by origin; percentage of employed women with a higher degree; percentage of software costs. Among the main weaknesses of Ukraine in the GII rating are: growth in labor productivity; gross accumulation; stability of work for business. The main indicators of the Global Innovation Index of Ukraine in 2024 are summarized. It was established that the "Output" of Ukraine in 2024 is 54, and the "Input" is 78. The income level is below average, the population is 37.7 (million), the gross domestic product at purchasing power parity (GDP, PPP$ ) 474.8 – billion. Gross domestic product (GDP) per capita (GDP per capita, PPP$) 14.304. A comparative analysis of Ukraine's indicators for each of the seven areas of the Global Innovation Index for 2024 was carried out. It was established that Ukraine ranks highest in the level of knowledge and technology (34th place), business level (45th place) and human capital and research (54th place). Ukraine occupies the lowest place in the ratings of "Institutions" (107th place), "Market development" (85th place) and "Infrastructure" (82nd place). Ukraine's main innovation strengths are useful models by origin/billion GDP per PCS (rank 1), number of employed women with a higher degree, % (rank 2) and spending on software, % of GDP (rank 4). The practical significance of the conducted research lies in conducting a comprehensive analysis of the innovative potential of Ukraine in the agricultural sector with the aim of further developing recommendations for its improvement in the conditions of globalization.
