CASTLE TOURISM IN TRANSCARPATHIA AND ENVIVONMENTAL PROTECTION
Abstract
The article is devoted to topical issues of the development of castle tourism in Transcarpathia. In connection with the processes of integration, interest in the fortification heritage of Ukraine is growing, especially in the west, where the best objects of castle tourism throughout the country have been preserved. Castle tourism is an important component of the tourism industry of Transcarpathia, were 12 castles (mostly in the form of ruins) built in the IX-XVI centuries have survived to this day. Studying the current state of castle tourism will allow to better preserve and popularize the historical and cultural heritage, which is of great importance for the identity of the region. The issue of the development of castle tourism and increasing its attractiveness is closely related to the current stage of the development of domestic tourism. Castle tourism in Transcarpathia offers a variety of activities, including excursions, themed tours, festivals and reenactments of historical events. Many castles are also used as venues for cultural and artistic events, which allows tourists not only to get acquainted with history, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of past eras. The results of the analysis of the tourist activity of the Mukachevo Castle "Palanok" indicate the active growth of the tourist business in the region in today's complex socio-political conditions, which is connected with the increase in the population of the region at the expense of temporarily displaced persons and the growing interest in the historical and architectural heritage of the country. The development of castle tourism in Transcarpathia contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage and stimulates the economic growth of the region. In order to increase the popularity of castle tourism in Transcarpathia, it is important to preserve the historical value and restore castles, develop tourist infrastructure on the basis of greening tourist activities, active marketing, creation of online tours and tourist routes that include the fortifications of the region, active cooperation with authorities, involvement of local population to the development of castle tourism and preservation of the natural environment.
