DATA VISUALIZATION IN THE FINANCIAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The article discusses the current issues of data visualization in the financial project management system. The share of projects in the financial sphere for Ukraine, implemented with the money of international financial organizations, has been assessed. The peculiarities of the implementation of projects in the system of financial management of business entities have been analyzed. Key areas of development of Ukraine's financial sector until 2025 have been highlighted. The principles of managing modern projects, the main tasks of project management are considered. The classification of processes in the project management system is presented. The content of financial data visualization as a prerequisite for decision-making is analyzed. Features of visual project management were revealed. The tools to visualize financial data from projects have been researched. The types of infographics to monitor the project's business objectives have been identified. The use of the Gant diagram for planning a financial project in terms of how tasks are carried out, distribution and congestion of resources, the cost of their use, and the timing of the start and end of the project were analyzed. It has been determined that one approach to assessing the effectiveness of the project can be considered a balanced system of indicators. The meaning of creating dashboards to visualize financial metrics based on the project's results is considered. The results of creating visualization in the MS Project environment, which reflects the name, duration and timing of the project's objectives, are presented. It has been determined that the implementation of management activities in the project management system requires the evaluation of financial metrics using business analysis (BI) tools. The types of financial data visualizations that can be created by these tools are considered. Operations with the information provided on the dashboards of the project's performance control were reviewed. A dashboard has been created to monitor key financial metrics that show the effectiveness of business processes for project management in the financial sector and its impact on the company's financial condition in MS PoewerBI.
