ECONOMIC STABILITY AS A BASIS FOR STATE SUSTAINABILITY IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN ACHIEVEMENTS AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

Economic stability is a state in which a country is able to function smoothly and develop stably, despite the influence of various external threats and problems occurring around it. It is able to accept challenges and absorb risks, but still invest in infrastructure, maintain its place in global markets and maintain a decent standard of living for its citizens. This is a significant factor that critically affects the life of the population. In addition, economic stability is an indicator of a healthy economy, free from disruptions. Thus, countries with an unstable economy cannot attract investments and actively participate in international trade, which hinders their economic growth and development. In addition, economic instability can be the cause of social unrest, political disputes and even conflicts between countries. Taking into account the above, the study determined the essence of economic stability, determined its relationship with such a category as economic equilibrium. The main components of economic equilibrium are analyzed. The importance of achieving economic stability is determined: investment growth, creation of new jobs, growth of consumer confidence, activation of international trade, reduction of risks of financial crises. Modern strategies for achieving economic stability are considered: intellectual enrichment, enthusiasm for innovation and technological progress, investments in infrastructure and strict financial supervision. Aspects that must be taken into account when considering the concept of economic stability are defined: globalization, technical progress, environmental problems, geopolitical tensions and conflicts, demographic problems, availability of quality education and health care. Characteristic features of economic stability in the context of today's requirements are determined. It was established that in addition to the formation of economic stability, its assessment also plays an important role. The study systematizes indicators of economic stability and reveals the essence and meaning of each of them.
