DEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCTION OF NEW TYPES OF PRODUCTS AT ENTERPRISES IN THE AGRARIAN SPHERE AS A DIRECTION FOR ENSURING THE FOOD SECURITY OF THE STATE
Abstract
It was determined that in Ukraine commercial production of agricultural products is carried out in personal peasant and farm households, market-type agricultural enterprises. The purpose of the study is to develop proposals for the development of new production by agricultural enterprises with the aim of increasing their competitiveness in the short- and medium-term perspective and increasing the food security of the state. The need for the development of deep processing of grain crops into cereals and compound fodder has been determined, which is caused by low purchase prices for grain crops. Prospects for the development of nut farming and the availability of grant programs to support the development of this industry were studied. Models for the development of craft productions focused on the deep processing of walnuts are proposed in order to obtain competitive advantages in the medium term. The need for the development of deep processing of plant products to ensure the competitiveness of agrarian formations and food security of the state was established. It was determined that the implementation of projects to launch own processing of grains into cereals and compound feed will provide an opportunity to: maximize the company's profits by ensuring deep processing of the main products; avoid the negative impact of seasonal grain price fluctuations; to provide the local population with high-quality and cheap cereals and compound feed for animal husbandry; to create additional jobs at enterprises. The development of walnut cultivation and processing at agricultural enterprises in the medium term will provide an opportunity to: provide the confectionery industry with high-quality and competitive raw materials; to create a highly profitable business for agricultural enterprises in the medium term, which will contribute to increasing their competitiveness; meet the needs of the population in organic food products (peanut oil, pastes, etc.). It was established that the development of deep processing of grain crops and nut products will provide an opportunity not only to increase the competitiveness of agricultural formations, but also to provide potential consumers with high-quality products at reasonable prices and ensure food security in rural areas.
