THE ROLE OF CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES IN ACHIEVING THE GOALS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: THE ANALYTICAL CONTEXT OF MODELING DYNAMIC CONNECTIONS

Keywords: creative economy, cultural industries, creative industries, sustainable development, sustainable development goals

Abstract

The article is devoted to the topical issues of defining the role of cultural and creative industries in achieving the goals of sustainable development in order to form an analytical basis for modeling dynamic relationships. To realize the potential of cultural and creative industries in the context of sustainable development, it is proposed to follow a holistic, integrated approach that takes into account the interrelationships of the goals of sustainable development, which allows to minimize the negative effects of global challenges. The stimulating effect of creative, cultural industries on economic growth has been proven. The expediency of the analysis of individual indicators, such as the level of achievement of sustainable development goals, added value and turnover of cultural industry enterprises, employment in the cultural sector, state and household expenditures on the cultural sector, is substantiated. It was established that in terms of the level of achievement of sustainable development goals in the EU countries, Great Britain, Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Austria had the highest score of the SDG Index during the entire period, while Greece, Malta, Romania, Cyprus and Bulgaria occupied the last positions of the rating. The prospects of Ukraine in the ranking of EU countries are outlined, which indicate the country's ability to take the leading positions. A number of contradictions have been established: on the one hand, creative cultural industries contribute to the filling of local and state budgets, the creation of additional jobs regardless of global challenges, and on the other hand, they show weak resistance to them, as evidenced by the reduction of added value and turnover of cultural industry enterprises in the period pandemic by an average of 67,000 euros. All this creates the basis for further research aimed at establishing cause-and-effect relationships between these processes and forms the initial information base for modeling the dynamic relationship between the sustainable development of territories, cultural and creative industries. Prospects for further research have been formed.
