POST-WAR ECONOMY RECOVERY STRATEGY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze the current economic state of Ukraine and outline the strategy of helping partner countries in the formation of a strategy for economic recovery in the post-war period. To rebuild Ukraine after the war ends, a major global financial effort will be needed. This topic is relevant today, and will also be relevant and important for the next few years. After all, the reconstruction of our state is, unfortunately, a long and very expensive process. Therefore, we greatly count on the support of the world. The article is devoted to topical issues of restoration and modernization of Ukraine in the post-war period. The «Marshall Plan» is given as an example, which is identified with the recovery programs in the post-war period. The article uses methods of analysis, comparison of indicators and generalization. The dynamics of the main economic indicators in the pre-war period and during the war are presented, in particular, the decline of GDP, export and import, as well as the increase in the level of government spending and inflation are revealed. The reconstruction plan of Ukraine is characterized, which includes the following priority articles: restoration and modernization of housing and infrastructure of the regions, energy independence and the course towards a «green economy», expansion and integration of logistics with the EU, macro-financial stability. These articles largely meet the basic needs of the country both in the war and post-war period. The aid of the partner countries was analyzed, and a tendency towards an increase in the provision of aid from the USA and the EU was revealed. They have already contributed significantly to improving the current viability of the country, but in the medium and long term, more support is needed to restore the foundations of a free and prosperous state, true to European values and firmly integrated into the European and global economy, and to support it on the European path. The total volume of bilateral aid commitments to Ukraine from the beginning of the full-scale invasion to the present day is covered. Based on the results of the study, we can see that the countries have collected a significant amount of financial, humanitarian and military aid for Ukraine in order to protect themselves from the invasion of Russia. Also, considerable funds have been allocated and will be allocated in the future for the reconstruction of Ukraine in the post-war period. Through joint efforts, Ukraine will be rebuilt and raised from the ruins.
