CURRENT TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC TOURISM

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the state of domestic tourism and its current trends. The relevance of the study is due to the important role of domestic tourism in the economic development of the state, preservation of cultural and natural resources, strengthening of social identity and national consciousness of the population. The purpose of the article is to develop ways to solve the problems of domestic tourism development in Ukraine. To achieve this goal, the study solved a number of tasks: the concept of "domestic tourism", its main types and importance for the State are defined; the current state of domestic tourism is analyzed and its current trends are identified; problems that hinder the development of domestic tourism in Ukraine are identified and ways to solve them are proposed. The study used general scientific methods of cognition: induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, association and analogy. According to the results of the study, it was found that in connection with the Russian invasion, certain trends have emerged in domestic tourism. These trends include an increase in the popularity of sanatorium tours; popularity of booking tours "for tomorrow"; reduction in the duration of travel; changing requirements for tourist facilities; changing the portrait of the Ukrainian traveler; growing popularity of solo tourism; popularity of tourist programs aimed at helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The analysis of these trends shows that despite wartime, people continue to travel to Ukraine, which contributes to the development of the domestic tourism market. At the same time, the development of domestic tourism is hampered by a number of problems: military operations in the country; loss of a significant part of tourist and recreational resources; destruction of tourist infrastructure; disruption of logistics in Ukraine; deployment of occupation troops in tourist centers; loss of labor resources. To solve these problems, the following measures are proposed: ensuring security on the territory of Ukraine by providing information about potential dangers and warning tourists about areas that are dangerous to visit; restoration of historical and cultural sites; development of alternative routes; restoration of tourist infrastructure, roads and other infrastructure facilities; support of the tourism industry by the State; support of employees of the tourism industry. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying the obtained results by public authorities for the development of domestic tourism in Ukraine.
