GLOBAL EXPERIENCE OF POST-WAR ECONOMIC RECOVERY OF TERRITORIES
Abstract
The most famous experience of post-war recovery is economic growth after the Second World War, the so-called post-war economic boom (the golden age of capitalism), which began after its end in 1945 and lasted until the end of the 1970s. The experience of rapid economic growth during this period is of particular interest for Ukraine, which needs compensation for losses from the annexation of Crimea and a quick and high-quality recovery of the economy destroyed by military actions, which needs a new concept of reconstruction that would meet modern conditions. Economists and government officials are discussing and looking for an alternative to the Marshall Plan for Ukraine. The experience of countries that entered the history books with their economic miracle will help develop such a plan. When forming a plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine, it is important to take into account the economic, geopolitical, social, cultural features of the state and the requirements of modern urban planning. The purpose of the article is a historical and economic study of the international experience of post-war economic reconstruction for the further implementation of this experience in the process of reconstruction of the national economy of Ukraine. The scientific discourse on post-war economic recovery and further social development was updated by the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. The historical and economic study of post-war reconstruction processes has as its object a complex integrity formed by economic, political, historical and cultural determinants. Since the reconstruction was carried out according to certain projects and strategies, they were preceded by substantial theoretical work on prioritizing goals and evaluating the means and possibilities of implementing the plans. It was concluded that the study of historical experience, the formation of a solid theoretical basis and the program of economic transformations will contribute to ensuring the success of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The results of the research will be useful for studying and taking into account the historical experience in the process of post-war economic recovery of Ukraine.
