ANTI-CRISIS MANAGEMENT OF TRADE AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS BETWEEN UKRAINE AND THE EU

Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarities of anti-crisis management of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the EU. It is determined that anti-crisis management of trade and economic relations should provide for a number of measures aimed at overcoming the crisis state and developing mechanisms for preventing the negative impact of the external environment in the context of the formation of the system of trade and economic relations between the countries with the aim of developing the most favorable segments of interaction. The volumes of export and import of goods to the EU countries with MS Excel environment are predicted. The state of Ukraine’s trade relations after a full-scale invasion was outlined. The crisis caused by external factors has led to the strengthening of positions of food and agricultural products in exports, which is demonstrated by their share in the commodity structure of exports. The bulk of imports is transport, machinery and equipment (about 28% of total imports), and fuel and energy goods (25%), which is due to the need to overcome the fuel shortage. The geographical structure of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods was analyzed according to the results of 7 months of 2022 A general SWOT analysis of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the EU was conducted.It is determined that the deepening of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU carries a number of positive aspects, in particular: Prospects of providing favorable business climate; increase of production standards; increase of investments from EU countries; application of ecological technologies; promotion of scientific and technical development; intensification of interstate internal industrial cooperation. However, the intensification of cooperation will require additional costs for the coordination of economic decisions, may cause pressure on economic policy from foreign investors, which in the current conditions is rather problematic, and may also cause increased competition in the domestic market. The measures to form the concept of anti-crisis management of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the EU were outlined in order to prevent the negative impact of environmental factors in determining the most favorable segments of interaction and priority directions of relations development.
