PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN MULTIPURPOSE FINANCIAL AID
Abstract
The relevance of the study of project management of international humanitarian multipurpose financial aid is connected with the urgent need to extensify and intensify the implementation of these projects after the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. The study is carried out by researching and rethinking both theoretical and practical data, which allows the author to deepen the theoretical base of such a specific segment of management as well as discover new patterns. 6 factors that should be taken into account by managers of international projects are highlighted. These are language, culture, work in different time zones, cross-border travel, legal issues, international delivery. These factors have a significant impact on the formation of a multinational project team to achieve a synergistic effect from cooperation, when a newly created team provides a greater effect than the simple sum of its structural elements. Studying the working culture of the participants and the project team is also important to avoid misunderstandings and problems during the project implementation. That’s why the influence of cultural factors of societies on the emotional projects management is researched as well as their role in the successful achievement of the goals of these projects. The experience of implementing humanitarian projects and its reflection in Ukrainian legislation was studied. Ensuring the timely implementation of humanitarian emergency project objectives involves the field work of its manager for the most effective planning, management of coordination, financing, monitoring and evaluation, as well as the management of human resources in the event of emergencies or humanitarian crises. The principles of projects management of international humanitarian multi-purpose financial aid are outlined. They include flexibility, caution, synergies, stress resistance, tolerance, communicativeness, easing the situation. These principles are the basic guided rules that will help the manager to improve the efficiency of his own work and the work of team members under the condition of reducing the emotional load.
