ADJUSTMENT OF CARGO VOLUMES TRANSPORTED BY UKRAINIAN MARITIME AND INLAND WATER TRANSPORT, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE REQUIREMENTS OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS GREENING
Abstract
The research is relevant because corporate social responsibility initiatives for water transport companies can be a powerful marketing tool that helps such a company position itself more favorably in the transport services market in the eyes of customers, investors, and regulators. In addition, corporate social responsibility initiatives can encourage innovative solutions that help water transport companies act more socially responsible while increasing their profits. The research aims to improve the methodical approach to adjusting the volumes of cargo transportation by Ukrainian maritime and inland water transport, taking into account the requirements of socially responsible business greening based on the complex use of mathematical models in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals. The theoretical and methodological basis of our research was made up of the fundamental scientific provisions of the transport economy in the system of sustainable development goals. We used the following methods to solve the tasks during the research: correlation-regression analysis – when studying the dependence of the profitability of water transport enterprises on the volume of cargo transportation by maritime and inland water transport; simplex method with an artificial basis – when determining the optimal, from the point of view of greening, socially responsible business volumes of cargo transportation by maritime and inland water transport in Ukraine. Using the proposed economic-mathematical model, we adjusted the general structure of the volume of cargo transportation by Ukrainian maritime and inland water transport of Ukraine, considering the environmental requirements of socially responsible business. We propose an economic-mathematical model for maximizing the use of the competitive potential of water transport, taking into account the requirements for the fulfillment of tasks to achieve the sustainable development goals of Ukraine for greening socially responsible businesses in the context of overcoming the consequences of military aggression. We perform calculations characterizing the management of the use of the competitive potential of water transport as a socially responsible business in the system of goals of sustainable development of Ukraine. Those calculations are based on the proposed economic-mathematical model and try to predict the possibilities of Ukrainian water transport recovery in the post-war period. Maximizing the use of the competitive potential of water transport, taking into account the requirements for the fulfillment of tasks to achieve the goals of sustainable development of Ukraine, can be helpful in the post-war recovery period.
