DETERMINATION OF THE ECOLOGICAL POTENTIAL OF TERRITORIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOLOGICAL TOURISM IN THE VINNYTSIA REGION
Abstract
One of the significant problems of modern nature management is excessive tourist loads on natural complexes. A way out of this situation can be found through the development of eco-tourism, which provides for a focus on active recreation. Ecotourism is now beginning to play an important role in the global tourism and hospitality industry. According to experts of the world tourism organization, in the near future the pace of development will rise and income will be a significant contribution to the economic development of many countries. The aim of this work is the definition of prospective territories for ecotourism development in Vinnytsia region on the basis of rating for further justification of the means and avenues of development of eco-tourism activities in the research region. Based on the data on the availability of parts of the region objects of natural reserve Fund, the presence of recreational, water, forest resources, road density and condition of the environment, the rating evaluation and ranking of administrative districts, which allowed to determine the prospects and possibilities of ecotourism development for each individual site. The integral indicator consists of the sum of the points, which were awarded on a scale from 1 to 10 points from the worst to the best result for each indicator. The tourism development program of the Vinnytsia region contributes to the creation of a holistic and effective system, aimed at developing a competitive tourist product, able to meet the tourist needs of external and internal tourists. Sustainable development of the territorial communities of the region, their socio-economic growth, which will allow filling the budget of the territories, increasing the level of employment of the population. The Vinnytsia region has all the prerequisites for the development of tourism. Currently, the priority types of tourism in the region are cultural and educational, medical and health-improving, recreational, rural green tourism, event, sports and active tourism,religious tourism and pilgrimage. Having a favorable geographical location, a favorable climate, significant forest and water resources, a rich nature reserve and historical and cultural fund, the Vinnytsia region has all the prerequisites for promoting eco-tourism. Having studied the rating of districts by the number of objects of the nature reserve Fund, having analyzed their territorial differences in distribution, the necessary conditions for the development of ecotourism and the rating of districts by the total indicator of ecotourism potential, we can say that the region has every reason to develop and activate ecological routes and ecotourism tours.
