PROSPECTS OF FORMATION OF TRANSNATIONAL EVENT-TOURIST CLUSTERS IN THE EUROPEAN REGION
Abstract
The article is devoted to the formation of transnational event-tourist clusters (TNETC). The use of innovative technologies in tourism requires additional resources. It is noted that as a result of the digitalization of the economy in the world, prerequisites have been formed for the formation of qualitatively new international clusters that combine the capabilities of traditional (territorial) and virtual clusters – virtual transnational clusters. The competitiveness of tourism is possible to the introduction of innovative technologies into the industry. So the author considers it appropriate to combine the resources of different countries through the formation of transnational tourism clusters (TNCs), the innovative component of which is an event. The expediency of creating a tourist cluster of international level – a transnational event-tourist cluster is argued. For this purpose, the prerequisites for the formation of transnational tourist cluster groups have been studied. Cluster analysis was carried out for 20 countries. The choice of countries made from the standpoint of the possible formation of transnational tourist clusters in the European region, the participants of which may be Ukrainian enterprises. Statistical indicators on the level of tourism development in the countries studied were used for the cluster analysis: direct contribution to GDP from tourist activity, the size of global profits, tourism spending in the country itself, domestic tourism consumption, inbound tourism and expenses of international tourists within the country. Based on the results of the cluster analysis, four potential tourist clusters were identified, and a cluster was identified, in which Ukraine could be a member. The advantages of international cooperation for TNETC member-countries are considered. In particular, solving the problems of recreational congestion of territories, creating platforms for the development and implementation of international programs for the development of innovative tourism with the possibility of using the human and territorial resources of the cluster member countries.
