CURRENT STATE AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF DERIVATIVE SECURITIES IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article highlights the peculiarities of the development of the derivatives market in Ukraine. Analysis of the current state of the domestic derivatives market and its share in the stock market confirmed that derivatives are underdeveloped in Ukraine, which has a negative impact on the economy as a whole, as the development of the global financial market has led to new securities that play an important role in the global financial market. Due to the active activity of economic entities in the stock market, there are more and more derivatives that reduce risks. With the right use of derivative financial instruments, they help financial market participants to improve the management of financial, monetary and commodity risks, as well as promote the development of financial innovation. Therefore, the effective use of these financial instruments is extremely important for the functioning of the domestic stock market, as they improve the management of financial, monetary and commodity risks and accelerate the development of financial innovations. The modern stock market is characterized by a high level of uncertainty due to lack of openness to society, the separation of financial instruments from the movement of money capital, the emergence of financial bubbles, financial crises, so important is the development of derivatives in the domestic stock market. It is the instruments of the derivatives market in economically developed countries actively used for hedging and financial risk management. Of the most effective risk minimization tools are derivatives, and then many companies and financial institutes carry out operations with forward, futures and options contracts. But in Ukraine the derivatives market is on stages of formation and accompanied such major problems as ignorance and unpreparedness of the subject’s management of the use of derivatives, as well as the lack of legislation on the regulation of financial derivatives tools. That is why the study of the state of and remains an urgent problem prospects for the development of the derivatives market securities in Ukraine. The issue of the use of derivative securities by entities also remains relevant management in order to minimize their risks activities that will promote balance of movement capital and the derivation of financial relations on new level of development.
