IMPACT OF EFFECTIVE PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT ON ENTERPRISE COMPETITIVENESS

Abstract

This article examines how systematic and targeted skill and competency enhancement of employees can contribute to effective market adaptation, optimization of production processes, and strengthening of a company’s market position. The significance of this work lies in identifying key aspects of personnel management that affect a company’s ability to achieve long-term competitive advantages. The purpose of the article is to explore the role of a comprehensive approach to personnel development within the strategy to enhance enterprise competitiveness. The study highlights that systematic personnel development is a key factor in ensuring high competitiveness of an enterprise. The development process includes upgrading qualifications, personal growth, and professional improvement of employees, aimed at forming competencies necessary for performing operational tasks using current techniques and technologies. Managing personnel development, focusing on identifying needs for skilled workers and forming a labor potential that is difficult for competitors to replicate, contributes to creating sustainable competitive advantages. This includes adapting the HR strategy to the enterprise's marketing strategy and developing areas such as innovation, leadership, and education enhancement. The study also found that effective personnel development management requires significant supportive systems, including financial, informational, and methodological provisions. These systems not only support internal learning and development processes but also help the enterprise adapt to external changes, maintaining its competitive position in the market. The practical significance of the research lies in identifying and implementing strategies for effective personnel development management, which can be applied by Ukrainian enterprises to enhance their competitiveness. The results of the study will aid in the development of a comprehensive personnel development strategy that includes the integration of training programs, career development, and staff performance evaluation within the overall enterprise strategy.
