THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF PROJECT FINANCING IN THE CONTEXT OF INNOVATION AND INVESTMENT DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENTERPRISE
Abstract
As a result of the research, the theoretical aspects of project financing in the context of innovative and investment development of the enterprise were generalized and deepened. It has been established that project financing is an important tool for implementing innovative projects, which is based on the use of projected project cash flows, the separation of risks from the current activities of the enterprise and their distribution between financing participants. The study clarified the economic essence of project financing and substantiated the feasibility of considering it as a comprehensive mechanism for financial support for innovation and investment projects. The author's interpretation of the concept of project financing and innovative and investment development of an enterprise is proposed, which allows taking into account the specifics of innovative activity, a high level of uncertainty, and the long-term nature of investment processes. It has been proven that the use of project financing contributes to optimizing the structure of the enterprise's financing sources, increasing the efficiency of investment risk management, and ensuring financial stability in the process of implementing innovative projects. The main areas of project financing are identified, taking into account the innovative orientation of enterprise development, which expands the possibilities of practical use of this tool in modern business conditions. At the same time, the results of the study indicate the need for further deepening of scientific research in this area. Promising areas of further research include the development of methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of innovative projects implemented on the basis of project financing, improving risk management models taking into account the stages of the project life cycle, and studying institutional mechanisms for the development of project financing in transformational economies. The implementation of these areas of scientific research will contribute to the formation of an effective system of financial support for the innovative and investment development of enterprises and increase their competitiveness in the long term.
