IDENTIFICATION OF RISKS OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES: OPPORTUNITIES AND THREATS IN THE MANAGEMENT PROCESS
Abstract
The article presents an algorithm for identifying the risks of economic activity of agricultural enterprises, which includes: analysis of the external environment, analysis of the internal environment, identification of risk factors and their description using SWOT analysis, grouping of factors in the formation of risks, identification of risks and determination of the weight of the impact of risks on the economic activity of agrarian enterprises using the method of expert assessments. A SWOT analysis of agricultural enterprises of the Lviv region is presented, the results of which revealed that the strengths of the enterprises are favorable soil and climatic conditions, the cultivation of high-quality products, a convenient geographical location, a diverse range of products, prospects for the development of the industry; weak - insufficient material and technical base; lack of an established marketing, sales and price policy; lack of state support; lack of management service; low capitalization. Among the possibilities, the manufacturing of innovative products was identified; capitalization increase; expansion of partnership relations; innovation and digitalization; strengthening the material and technical base; threats - climatic changes; growing competition; loss of positions in the domestic market; decrease in prices for grain products; inefficient sales channel. A comprehensive analysis of favorable opportunities and threats of agricultural enterprises of the Lviv region was carried out, using a combination of the probability of the factor's realization and the importance of its impact. Among the opportunities, innovation and digitalization and the manufacture of innovative products had the highest overall rating, which indicates their high potential for development. Among the threats, climate change was found to be the most significant, which received the maximum rating, which emphasizes the need for agricultural enterprises to focus on the development and implementation of adaptation strategies aimed at reducing the impact of climate change on production and productivity. The risks of the economic activity of agricultural enterprises have been identified, namely: natural-climatic, biological, economic, financial, social, technological and legal, which requires the development of a number of measures to minimize or avoid them.
