FEATURES OF INTERNET TRADING DEVELOPMENT AND COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS WITH TRADITIONAL TRADE

Abstract

In the last decade, methods of doing business on the Internet have become more widespread. It is the development of information technology, at the present stage, and has become the main catalyst for the development of electronic commerce. In today's domestic e-commerce market, there are many large online stores, and there is a steady interest in e-commerce among retailers through their own online stores. The content of its activities, e-commerce is significantly different from traditional commerce. In this regard, there is a need to reveal the peculiarities of the development of Internet commerce and to make a comparative description with traditional trade in goods in today's business environment. Given this, the purpose of this article is to study and summarize the features of the development of Internet commerce, to determine its characteristics other than traditional commerce. It is established that with the development of e-commerce the relevance of trade in goods via the Internet is constantly growing, because in the current difficult economic conditions, it allows you to quickly and at relatively low cost to organize sales of domestic producers and thus ensure their survival and development. The Internet has provided a significant opportunity to consolidate e-commerce in a comprehensive system of trade, which is carried out worldwide with a steadily growing number of participants. Trade in the purchase, sale, exchange of goods or services, pre-sale and after-sales activities via the Internet, is carried out electronically using telecommunications systems, including the entire cycle of commercial and financial transactions or parts thereof, many manufacturers and commercial enterprises. The article reveals the peculiarities of the development of Internet trade in goods, comparative characteristics of certain aspects of traditional trade and Internet trade in the current state. The main features of Internet trade and traditional trade in goods are described. The main advantages and disadvantages of enterprises through the introduction of e-commerce as a separate type of e-commerce are highlighted. The features that distinguish between e-commerce and traditional commerce are described and presented. According to research on the behavior of Ukrainian consumers in the market, traditional trade still dominates over e-commerce, but the share of the latter has a significant upward trend, as there is a significant increase in the number of users who choose the goods they need to use.
