CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF THE EXPORT POTENTIAL OF UKRAINIAN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES
Abstract
The study is devoted to the analysis of the current state and trends in the development of the export potential of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine in the context of the transformation of the foreign economic environment. The relevance of the topic is due to the decisive role of the agricultural sector in the formation of export revenues of the state, the need for enterprises to adapt to the consequences of a full-scale war, changes in logistics routes, transformation of the structure of world trade and increased requirements of international markets for the quality and safety of products. The purpose of the article is to study the current state of the export potential of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine, determine the main trends in its development and substantiate the directions for increasing the efficiency of the implementation of export opportunities in the agricultural sector. The methodological basis of the study was general scientific and special methods of cognition, in particular methods of analysis and generalization, comparison, statistical analysis, a systematic approach and graphical generalization of results. On the basis of scientific approaches, the essence of the concept of the export potential of agricultural enterprises was clarified and the main factors of its formation were identified. An analysis of the dynamics of Ukrainian exports of goods by main commodity groups in 2020–2025 was conducted, and the commodity structure of agricultural exports in 2022–2024 was also studied. It was established that agricultural products retain a leading place in the structure of Ukrainian exports, and the basis of export potential remains products of plant origin, cereals, oilseeds, and fats and oils. It is substantiated that, despite the negative impact of military factors, the agricultural sector demonstrates a gradual restoration of export activity and maintains a high level of competitiveness in world markets. The main directions for increasing the efficiency of the implementation of export potential are proposed, including diversification of sales markets, development of processing, modernization of logistics infrastructure, improvement of product quality, and expansion of state support for export-oriented enterprises. The practical value of the results obtained lies in the possibility of their use when forming a strategy for the development of export activities of agricultural enterprises, as well as when developing state policy measures to strengthen the export potential of the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
