LONG-TERM COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES IN AGRIBUSINESS IN CONDITIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical and applied principles of forming long-term competitive advantages in agribusiness in the context of sustainable development, as well as to substantiate the conceptual approach to the integration of economic, environmental, and managerial mechanisms for ensuring the strategic competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The methodological basis of the study is general scientific and special methods of economic analysis. The research process used methods of theoretical generalization, system analysis, structural-functional approach, scientific abstraction and logical modeling. To determine the relationships between the components of sustainable development and competitiveness parameters, comparative and analytical approaches were used, which allowed to form conceptual foundations of strategic development of agribusiness. The article examines the features of the formation of long-term competitive advantages in agribusiness in the context of increasing demands for sustainable development and transformation of the global economic environment. It is determined that the modern model of ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises depends more on the ability to integrate economic, environmental and management components into a single system of strategic development. It is substantiated that long-term competitive advantages of agribusiness are formed with the adaptability of management mechanisms of enterprises and the ability to integrate them into modern value chains. It is established that the increase in the instability of the external environment actualizes the need to transition from short-term response models to strategically oriented management of competitive advantages based on the principles of sustainable development. It is proven that the integration of environmentally oriented approaches into the agribusiness system contributes to increasing the level of economic sustainability of enterprises and strengthening their market positions in the long term. It is determined that the development of innovative potential and increasing the efficiency of the use of agricultural resources play an important role in ensuring strategic competitiveness. A conceptual approach has been formed to ensure long-term competitive advantages of agribusiness based on the synchronization of economic, environmental, and organizational and managerial development mechanisms in the context of sustainable development.
