GENDER ASPECTS OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN OECD COUNTRIES IN THE CONTEXT OF TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
This research analyzes the impact of technological progress on gender inequality in the labor markets of OECD countries. Research is based on a specially developed technological development index that integrates educational, innovative, and digital parameters. The relationships between technological growth and gender labor dynamics were evaluated using Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients, as well as comparative analysis. The findings prove that digital transformation acts as an equalizer, significantly boosting female labor force participation and balancing employment opportunities. This trend is most prominent among the youth, where digital competencies replace outdated selection criteria. A new phenomenon of slightly higher male unemployment in highly technologically developed countries was identified. These results can guide state policies in fostering labor equality.
