PROJECT FINANCING OF INNOVATIVE AGRIBUSINESS PROJECTS IN THE MODERN FINTECH ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive and thorough examination of the theoretical foundations and practical tools of project finance specifically tailored for innovative solutions within the global agricultural sector, functioning under the conditions of a dynamic and rapidly evolving modern FinTech environment. The fundamental relevance of this study is driven by the urgent necessity to identify and implement alternative capital sources and sophisticated financing structures essential for the large-scale technological modernization of the agro-industrial complex. A particular focus of the research is placed on the multidimensional analysis of emerging financial technologies, including but not limited to blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and specialized decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. The study further provides an in-depth exploration of the specific industry risks inherent in agricultural production–such as climate dependency, long production cycles, and price volatility–and proposes innovative, adaptive mechanisms for their mitigation. By integrating advanced FinTech tools into the core project finance structure, stakeholders can achieve better risk hedging and credit scoring accuracy. Based on a global comparative analysis of successful international experience and current market trends, the paper substantiates strategic priorities for the comprehensive improvement of the financial architecture supporting innovative agribusiness development. It is rigorously proven that the intentional synergy between breakthrough agricultural innovations (AgTech) and digital financial ecosystems is a decisive factor in ensuring the industry's long-term competitiveness in the global market and stimulating sustainable, inclusive economic growth. The formulated conclusions and recommendations offer substantial practical significance for policymakers, financial engineers, and corporate managers tasked with developing robust investment attraction strategies for high-tech agro-industrial projects. Ultimately, the study positions the integration of FinTech not merely as a technical upgrade, but as a paradigm shift in how the global agricultural economy operates in the era of total digitalization and green transition.
