THE ESSENCE AND FUNCTIONAL STRUCTURE OF ENTERPRISE RESOURCE POTENTIAL IN MODERN ECONOMIC CONDITIONS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation and functioning of the resource potential of an enterprise under the conditions of modern macroeconomic instability and transformational shifts. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the architectonics of resource potential through the prism of a matrix approach that combines static and dynamic characteristics of organizational development. To achieve the set goal, a systematic approach, methods of comparative analysis, and logical generalization were used. The study is based on the synthesis of modern scientific concepts regarding the resource-based view and adaptive management. The author rethinks the essence of the "resource potential" category, moving away from a purely static description of assets. The article substantiates the necessity of considering resource potential as a dialectical unity of two fundamental vectors: the resource composition (static-structural aspect) and the mechanisms of resource utilization (dynamic-managerial aspect). The scientific novelty of the work lies in the development of a Cartesian matrix model "Composition — Utilization". By placing the resource composition on the Y-axis and the efficiency of management mechanisms on the X-axis, the author identifies specific strategic development zones for economic entities. The model allows for distinguishing between the "mass" of the enterprise (availability of funds, personnel, equipment) and its "speed" or "intelligence" (the quality of management and the ability to adapt quickly). Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of integrating digital tools into the resource management system to enhance the accuracy of potential assessment. The study proves that the ideal vector for a modern enterprise is movement toward the upper-right sector of the matrix, where a powerful material and intellectual base is combined with high speed of managerial decisions and innovative activity. The implementation of this model enables managers to synchronize long-term strategic goals with rapid tactical responses to environmental changes. The proposed approach provides a comprehensive tool for diagnosing internal reserves and optimizing strategic decisions in crisis conditions, ensuring the long-term competitiveness of domestic enterprises.
