IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENTERPRISE BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AS A TOOL FOR INCREASING ITS ECONOMIC POTENTIAL
Abstract
The article substantiates foundations and develops practical tools for strengthening enterprise economic potential by optimizing its business process architecture under conditions of uncertainty and military risks. Traditional functional models prove ineffective against external shocks like logistical disruptions, resource deficits, and personnel losses, making BPM a vital mechanism for enhancing resilience. Within the systemic approach, the business process acts as a "transformer" that integrates material, informational, and human resources to achieve strategic objectives. The author proposes an integrated methodical approach to assessing process impact via a four-vector matrix: efficiency, cost-effectiveness, speed, and adaptability. A mathematical model for the integral indicator Iep is presented, involving KPI identification, normalization of indicators into a dimensionless format (distinguishing stimulators and de-stimulators), and expert-based weighting. This quantitative tool allows management to transform qualitative characteristics into a measurable contribution to capitalization and strategic survival, with adaptability being critical for supply chain reconfiguration. The study analyzes five interconnected modules of economic potential-production, financial, innovative, personnel, and market-whose synergy ensures long-term stability. Empirical analysis of Ukrainian enterprises (2020-2024) reveals a direct correlation between operational quality and profitability. The critical drop in operational profitability in 2022 resulted from disrupted processes, while the 2023–2024 recovery underscores successful management reconfiguration. Implementation of ERP and CRM systems significantly strengthens potential through automation and transparency. The scientific novelty lies in a process-oriented model integrating systemic concepts with digitalization tools to transform the passive resource base into dynamic capabilities. Practical significance is found in the provided tools for diagnosing "bottlenecks" and ensuring competitiveness based on PDCA logic and continuous improvement.
