THE CONCEPT OF SUSTAINABLE FINANCE AS A NATIONAL SECURITY TOOL
Abstract
The article is devoted to the topical issues of determining the essence of the concept of sustainable finance as a tool for ensuring the national security of the state. Theoretical approaches to the interpretation of sustainable financing are studied and the directions of its influence on the economic, energy, social and institutional components of security are systematized. Some macroeconomic and social indicators of Ukraine are analyzed in the context of ensuring financial stability and national resilience. The practical and conceptual significance of sustainable finance in the conditions of martial law and the development of the national economy is determined. The impact of sustainable financing on national security is determined through the strengthening of the economic, energy, social and institutional components. In particular, financing the development of production, innovations and support for export-oriented sectors contributes to economic growth and strengthening the financial sovereignty of the state. The country's energy autonomy is being increased through investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency and critical infrastructure. The social component is being strengthened through the development of education, medicine, the labor market and the social protection system, which forms internal social stability and resilience. The analysis of macroeconomic and social indicators of Ukraine determines the dependence of the level of national security on the effectiveness of financial policy and the state's ability to support sustainable sources of development financing. It is substantiated that the priority areas for strengthening sustainable financing in Ukraine should be ensuring budget sustainability, developing the market for green and social financial instruments, supporting the structural modernization of the economy, digitalizing public administration, financing human capital and expanding international financial cooperation. As a result, the integration of the principles of sustainable finance into the system of ensuring national security is a necessary prerequisite for strengthening national resilience, increasing the competitiveness of the economy and ensuring the long-term security of the state.
