Abstract

The article conducts a comprehensive study of the mechanism for managing remote teams in the IT sector in the context of digital transformation and military challenges. The differences between remote and classical teams are identified, and the influence of the characteristics of the IT sector on the development of distributed work models is substantiated. The paper defines the essence of remote teams as an organizational form of interaction based on the use of digital technologies and characterized by the spatial distribution of participants. It is proposed to consider the management mechanism as a system of interconnected elements, including goals, objectives, principles, factors, tools, subjects and objects of management. The content of each element of the mechanism is detailed and their relationship is substantiated. The key objectives of the mechanism are identified, including increasing the efficiency of team interaction, ensuring transparency of processes, optimizing communications, increasing productivity and forming a corporate culture. A system of tasks aimed at developing communications, coordinating activities in different time zones, managing knowledge and supporting team cohesion is formed. The principles of forming the mechanism are substantiated, in particular digital integration, flexibility, transparency, trust and cultural adaptability. The factors influencing the effectiveness of the mechanism are systematized by organizational, technological and socio-psychological groups and their significance is determined. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of managing remote teams in martial law, where the key challenges are uncertainty, infrastructure risks, psychological stress and personnel relocation. It is proven that the implementation of the proposed mechanism contributes to increasing management efficiency, productivity of IT projects, quality of the software product and competitiveness of companies. Prospects for further research are related to the development of methods for assessing the effectiveness of the mechanism and the impact of new generation digital technologies on the management of remote teams.
