OUTSOURCING OF INFRASTRUCTURE PROVISION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF BANKING INSTITUTIONS IN THE CONDITIONS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE FINANCIAL SERVICES MARKET
Abstract
The article examines outsourcing as a tool of infrastructure support for the development of banking institutions under the digital transformation of the financial services market. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need of banks to strengthen operational resilience, cybersecurity, data processing, service quality, and adaptability to technological and regulatory changes. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of outsourcing in the system of infrastructure support for banking institutions and to identify the institutional and organizational conditions for its effective use. The methodological basis of the study includes analysis and synthesis, comparative, systemic, institutional methods, and elements of content analysis. These methods made it possible to generalize scientific approaches to the essence of financial infrastructure and outsourcing, compare domestic and foreign views, adapt a multi-level structural model to banking institutions, and assess regulatory conditions of outsourcing interaction. The results show that outsourcing should be interpreted not only as a means of cost reduction, but also as an instrument for modernization of the technological, analytical, service, and security infrastructure of banks. It is substantiated that outsourcing can strengthen the administrative, infrastructural, process, and customer-service levels of a banking institution through the involvement of external providers of IT, cybersecurity, analytics, digital support, and operational services while preserving strategic control over critical functions. The article also emphasizes that the efficiency of outsourcing depends on the quality of the institutional environment, regulatory support, monitoring, audit, compliance, and risk control mechanisms. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of applying its conclusions in the activities of banks when designing digital transformation strategies, improving infrastructure support, selecting outsourcing providers, and managing interaction with third parties. The proposed provisions may also be useful for regulators and researchers dealing with sustainable development and digital resilience of the banking sector.
