INTRODUCTION OF ESG APPROACHES INTO THE ACTIVITIES OF TRANSPORT ENTERPRISES IN UKRAINE AS A TOOL FOR POST-WAR RECOVERY AND INCREASING THEIR ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
Abstract
The article examines the role of ESG approaches in ensuring the economic resilience of Ukrainian transport enterprises in the context of post-war recovery. The relevance of the topic is determined by the large-scale destruction of transport infrastructure, disruption of logistics links, growing operational risks, and the need to form new management mechanisms oriented toward sustainable development, social responsibility, and effective corporate governance. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the importance of ESG approaches in improving the efficiency of transport enterprises and to identify priority directions for their implementation in the management system under the conditions of post-war economic transformation. The study uses methods of theoretical generalization, comparative analysis, systematization of scientific approaches, as well as the method of fuzzy hierarchical analysis (Fuzzy-AHP), which made it possible to assess the significance of environmental, social, and governance factors in the formation of the economic resilience of transport enterprises. According to the findings of the study, it was established that the ESG-oriented approach contributes to flexibility of managerial decisions, improvement of corporate governance, reduction of reputational and financial risks, higher energy efficiency, and stronger social responsibility of business. It was proved that the integration of ESG principles into the activities of transport enterprises creates conditions for faster adaptation to crisis challenges and intensification of innovative processes. The practical value of the results lies in the possibility of using the proposed approaches in the development of recovery strategies for transport enterprises, improving corporate governance, and increasing competitiveness under the conditions of structural modernization of the national economy. The conclusions may be useful for enterprise managers, investors, public authorities, and stakeholders interested in the formation of a resilient and inclusive transport system of Ukraine.
