ESSENCE AND COMPONENTS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The paper is dedicated to the problems of identification and definition of components of business administration taking into account the content of related categories of management and administration. The relevance of the chosen research topic is explained by significant differences in the interpretation of the content of the mentioned concepts. In the process of writing the paper, methods of categorical analysis, comparison and structural modeling were used. The results of the research are: differentiation of the categories of management, administration and business administration based on taking into account the content of management functions and functional areas of activity of business structures; formulation of a theoretical approach to the definition of business administration, substantiation of directions and components of this area of activity. An important thesis of the paper is such idea that administration is a subsystem of management, and business administration is a component of administration. But administrators in their activities are subordinate to managers and implement their decisions in practice, while administrators and business administrators have equal authority. The significant result of the paper is the formulation of recommendations on the selection of indicators for the analysis of communication between business administrators and clients and debtors of the organization. The authors of the paper emphasize that such interaction increases the income of business structures, refers to business administration and is considered an important function of business administrators. This also applies to the financing of the organization's activities. According to the authors of the article, it is business administrators who should control the processes of formation and use of cash flows of business structures, as well as diagnose its financial condition depending on the value of indicators that is traditionally used for the analysis of cash flows. The perspective directions of the problems research are the development of methods for assessing the organization's activities in the areas of business administration, as well as improving the information and analytical support of the marketing and financial activities of business structures.
