ASSESSMENT OF INVESTMENT SECURITY OF THE REGION IN THE CONTEXT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Abstract
In accordance with the set goal, the article proposes a possible approach to setting and solving the problem of quantitative assessment of investment security of the region, taking into account the goals of sustainable development and identifying key factors that determine the level of investment security of the regional economy. The relevance of the research direction is due to the need to improve the existing and form new scientifically based approaches to the assessment of investment security of the region based on the use of econometric methods of analysis of indicators of social, economic and environmental development. The article examines the influence of indicators of social, economic and ecological development on investment security of certain regions of the western part of Ukraine. The analysis of statistical information for the period 2010-2021, as well as the use of the possibilities of statistical, correlation-regression analysis and econometric modeling made it possible to obtain scientific results that can become a methodological basis for solving the problems of increasing the efficiency of regional policy in the direction of optimizing the processes of investment potential formation and more effective use of the investment climate. The classification of regions by levels of investment security made it possible to monitor the dynamics of fluctuations in the relevant indicator and the regions' membership in groups based on the levels of the integral indicator in accordance with predefined threshold values. The calculations based on the developed models made it possible to identify the leading regions in terms of the level of investment security (Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, which demonstrated a high and average level of investment security), regions with a level of investment security below the average (Volyn and Zakarpattia regions) and a low level (Ternopil region). As a perspective for the further development of this direction of research, the possibility of quantitative assessment of the investment attractiveness of types of economic activity in a regional section and its consideration in the process of determining indicators of the investment climate and investment security of regional socio-ecological and economic systems is considered. Further development and practical implementation of the proposed approach will increase the effectiveness of the regional investment policy and help achieve the goals of sustainable development.
