GLOBAL TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SMART LOGISTICS AND DIGITIZATION OF ENTERPRISE LOGISTICS PROCESSES

Abstract

The article examines global trends in the development of smart logistics and digitalization of logistics processes of enterprises in the digital economy. The role of digital technologies as a key factor in increasing the efficiency of supply chain management and forming competitive advantages of the enterprise is substantiated. Regional features of the development of smart logistics in the countries of North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region are analyzed. Key areas for the implementation of innovative technologies in smart logistics are identified, in particular artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and business process automation. The areas for the implementation of smart logistics and digitalization of logistics processes are summarized using the example of leading companies in the global smart logistics market. The key elements of smart logistics in the logistics infrastructure of Ukraine are identified, which include: the use of predictive analytics; the implementation of robotic solutions in warehouses; the use of artificial intelligence for demand forecasting and inventory planning; the implementation of IoT monitoring. The main problems of implementing smart logistics at domestic enterprises are studied. External problems include: intense market competition, lack of standardization, underdeveloped transport infrastructure, regulatory restrictions and imperfect regulatory environment, environmental challenges, etc. Internal problems include: lack of qualified labor, significant initial investment costs for implementing smart technologies, the complexity of integrating new digital solutions with outdated information systems of enterprises, cybersecurity risks, insufficient level of digital maturity of enterprises and low readiness for business process transformation, problems with processing large data sets, etc. Directions for overcoming the problems of implementing smart logistics at enterprises are outlined. It is proven that effective transformation of logistics processes of domestic enterprises requires an integrated approach, which involves the development of digital infrastructure, improvement of the regulatory environment, implementation of standardization of logistics processes and activation of innovative activities.
