THE ROLE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF SCIENTIFIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Abstract
The article explores the role of information technologies in increasing the efficiency of scientific project management in the context of the digital transformation of modern economy and science. The essence of a scientific project as a complex, dynamic system of interconnected research tasks is revealed, the implementation of which requires effective coordination of resources, participants and information flows within certain time and financial constraints. Modern approaches to scientific project management are analyzed and key factors affecting their effectiveness and competitiveness are identified, in particular the level of digitalization, the quality of management decisions, personnel qualifications, as well as the ability to adapt in conditions of uncertainty. The feasibility of using information and communication technologies as a tool for automating management processes, increasing the transparency of decision-making, optimizing the use of material, financial and intellectual resources and ensuring effective interaction between participants in scientific research is substantiated. The possibilities of using digital platforms, project management systems, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and Big Data in the process of implementing scientific projects are considered. It has been proven that their use contributes to increasing the productivity of scientific teams, improving the quality of processing large data sets, reducing the time for making management decisions and developing international scientific cooperation based on digital communication environments. Particular attention is paid to the process approach to scientific project management, which allows for a systematic reflection of the sequence and interrelationship of management actions. The process of managing a scientific project using information technologies is presented as a logically ordered sequence of interconnected stages, including planning, conducting research, project implementation, resource management and obtaining scientific results. It has been established that the key element of increasing efficiency is the integration of digital tools that provide collection, processing, storage and coordination of information, increase the level of control over project implementation and contribute to a prompt response to changes in the external environment.
