STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The article is devoted to the conceptual justification and institutional specifics of the strategic implementation of sustainable management principles in the development of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to harmonize the theoretical and methodological foundations and to outline the priorities of the strategic implementation of sustainable management in the governance of agricultural enterprises, ensuring the integration of conceptual provisions with practical management tools and the formation of strategic guidelines for recovery and modernization of the agricultural sector. In the research process, methods of systemic and structural-functional analysis, comparative and institutional approaches, as well as generalization and synthesis were applied. This made it possible to identify key trends in the transformation of agricultural entrepreneurship and to outline the directions of its strategic development. The use of these methods revealed the interconnection between institutional conditions, economic factors, and managerial decisions, and contributed to the formation of a conceptual model of sustainable management in the agricultural sphere. The study defines the specific conditions of functioning of the entrepreneurial sector of the agricultural economy under martial law and highlights the prospects of its transformation towards sustainable development. It is shown that agricultural enterprises, as market actors, require recovery measures, mechanisms for activating innovation processes, and strategies for preserving and increasing agricultural capital. The concept of sustainable management is considered as a strategic basis for managerial decisions, oriented towards the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030 and the corresponding achievement indicators. The strategic importance of introducing sustainable development principles in the activities of agricultural enterprises is emphasized, as it is crucial for increasing efficiency, reconstructive development, and strengthening the social responsibility of business. At the same time, the relevance of sustainable development issues is determined by global challenges such as climate change, environmental pollution, soil degradation, and biodiversity loss. This requires a high-quality institutional environment, sufficient potential, and a balanced socio-economic condition of enterprises. The entrepreneurial sector of Ukraine’s agricultural industry is in a state of transformational dynamics, which defines new vectors of management strategies under unstable institutional conditions and wartime and post-war transformations.
