ANTI-CRISIS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN CHALLENGES

Abstract

The article addresses the pressing issues of anti-crisis management of the financial activities of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine under wartime challenges, macroeconomic instability, logistical disruptions, inflationary pressure, and restricted access to financial resources. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to ensure the financial resilience of agribusiness in an environment of heightened uncertainty and systemic shocks affecting production, sales, liquidity, and investment capacity. The study examines the strengths and weaknesses of Ukraine’s agricultural sector, identifies its key structural constraints and competitive advantages, and substantiates the importance of adapting financial management approaches to current crisis conditions. Particular attention is paid to the distribution of land resources and business entities by legal form of organization, which makes it possible to reveal the asymmetry of the sector’s structure and the differentiated level of financial resilience among various categories of agricultural producers. The article also explores the role of international financial support in maintaining business continuity, restoring production potential, and strengthening the adaptive capacity of agricultural enterprises. In addition, current lending trends in the agricultural sector are analyzed, including the dynamics of loans in the national currency, the structure of outstanding loans granted to non-financial corporations, and the significance of the “Affordable Loans 5–7–9%” program as an instrument of anti-crisis financial support. Based on the conducted analysis, the article substantiates priority directions for improving crisis management of the financial activities of agricultural enterprises. These include differentiated financial support depending on the scale and organizational form of farming, diversification of funding sources, expansion of concessional and long-term lending, and strengthening of financial risk management. It is concluded that an effective anti-crisis financial management system in the agricultural sector should combine state support instruments, bank lending, international assistance, and internal mechanisms for maintaining liquidity and financial stability.
