ECONOMY AS A MULTI-LEVEL SYSTEM: MODERN THEORETICAL IMPERATIVES AND PRACTICAL REALITIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the economy as a complex multi-level system and to the substantiation of modern theoretical approaches to understanding the regularities of its functioning. Particular attention is paid to the interpretation of the economic system from the standpoint of the systemic paradigm of economic theory, which considers the economy as an integrated structure formed by interconnected and interdependent elements. The paper examines the theoretical foundations of the formation and development of a multi-level economic structure and identifies the key characteristics that determine its integrity and internal organization. The role of microeconomic, mesoeconomic and macroeconomic levels in ensuring the stability and development of the economic system is substantiated. It is argued that the functioning of the modern economy is determined not only by the activity of individual economic agents but also by the nature of systemic interactions between different levels of economic organization. Special attention is devoted to the analysis of modern theoretical imperatives that determine the development of the economy under conditions of structural transformations, globalization processes and institutional changes. The research emphasizes that the effectiveness of economic development largely depends on the coordination and coherence of interactions between the structural levels of the economic system. The paper highlights the importance of a systemic approach in explaining contemporary economic processes and in identifying the mechanisms that ensure the balanced functioning of the economy. The results of the study confirm that the modern economy should be considered as a dynamic multi-level system characterized by hierarchical organization, systemic interconnections and continuous transformation of economic relations. Understanding the economy through the prism of multi-level interactions creates new opportunities for theoretical interpretation of economic processes and provides a conceptual basis for further research into the mechanisms of economic development in modern conditions.
