THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN INVESTMENTS ON ENSURING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISES TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES
Abstract
The article examines the impact of external investments on ensuring the sustainable development of enterprises of territorial communities in the context of economic instability, structural transformations, and post-crisis recovery. Under conditions of limited domestic financial resources and increasing competition for capital, external investment flows become an important factor in strengthening the financial stability of enterprises, modernizing production processes, and enhancing the economic potential of territorial communities. The purpose of the research is to analyze the influence of external investments on the sustainable development of enterprises of territorial communities and to determine the main directions for improving the effectiveness of investment policy. The study applies general scientific and special research methods, including analysis and synthesis to systematize theoretical approaches, induction and deduction to formulate general conclusions, as well as comparison and generalization to assess the effects of external capital inflows. The research identifies the main directions of influence of external investments on enterprises of territorial communities, including technological modernization, diversification of financial resources, innovation development, improvement of management practices, and expansion of access to external markets. External investments also contribute to strengthening the economic capacity of territorial communities through job creation, development of local entrepreneurship, infrastructure improvement, and growth of local budget revenues. At the same time, potential risks associated with excessive dependence on foreign capital, profit repatriation, and displacement of local businesses are highlighted. Therefore, the effectiveness of attracting external investments largely depends on transparent governance mechanisms and the integration of investment strategies into long-term development programs of enterprises and territorial communities.
