INEQUALITY AMONG URBAN CHILDREN

Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual issue of detecting and researching the peculiarities of the inequality of urban families with children, in particular both monetary and non-monetary aspects. Special and general scientific methods are used to investigate the poverty of urban families with children. A monographic method and biblimetry were used to preliminary study. During the study of monetary and non-monetary poverty, methods of qualitative, comparative analysis, statistical and settlement methods are used. Poverty and financial capabilities of urban families with children, compared with similar families in rural areas, are analyzed. It is shown that in urban families with children, the best situation with poverty should be noted that for children of cities is more characteristic of non-monetary poverty and social alienation that acquires manifestations that it is difficult to assess affordable statistical data. It is determined that in large cities there is a question of availability of resources in families with children, since modern urban life requires significant investments in children. The deprivational poverty of families with children in villages limits access to children to development resources, but this does not mean that it is not in cities, especially large metropolises. In large cities, there is a difference in access to medicine, to education. Accordingly, children from poor families are not able to study several foreign languages from an early childhood, attending tutors. Lack of resources in part of urban families with children leads to imprisonment in the organization of leisure. Lack of funds defines many other aspects of lives of families with children. Rural children are more devoid of rehabilitation. In children from poor urban families, there is no opportunity to spend time freely spending on the territory near the house, because the courtyard of multi-storeyers are usually threatened by cars of residents and their guests. It is shown that for children of cities is characterized by increased danger of falling into an unfavorable life situation, as in the cities larger crowds of the population, and children are more likely to face social diseases and destructive subcultures that do not always reach rural areas.
