FORMATION OF APPROACHES TO THE CLASSIFICATION OF BANK POTENTIAL COMPONENTS AND ITS INNOVATION ACTIVITY IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY
Abstract
The article is devoted to the formation of approaches to classifying the components of a bank's potential, taking into account its innovative activity in the digital economy. The purpose of the study is to substantiate approaches to classifying the components of a bank's potential, taking into account its innovative activity in the digital economy. In the course of the scientific study, general scientific methods of cognition were used: analysis and synthesis, generalization, systematization, classification, induction, deduction, abstraction and modeling. The results of the study show that traditional approaches to interpreting a bank's potential focus mainly on the resource base, the processes of its use and financial results of activity, which allows describing only the financial component of the institution's capabilities. However, taking into account the challenges of the digital environment, such an approach does not fully cover the factors of bank development in modern conditions. It was found that innovative activity is no longer an element of modernization, but a systemic characteristic of the banking sector. It covers both digital services and infrastructure solutions, cybersecurity measures, regulatory technologies and platform models of interaction with clients. It is shown that the bank's ability to build effective digital business models and implement technological solutions becomes a key source of increasing its potential. The generalization of the results allowed to form an expanded approach to the structure of banking potential. A model is proposed that combines financial-resource, operational-process and performance components with innovative, digital-infrastructure, personnel-competence, partner-ecosystem and regulatory-adaptive elements. The practical significance of the study lies in the reorientation of bank management towards strategic management of potential as an integrated system that includes technology, data, human capital and partnerships.
