FEATURES OF THE FUNCTIONING OF DIGITAL PLATFORMS OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIETY DIGITALIZATION
Abstract
Digital platforms are innovative technological solutions that play a crucial role in transforming ICT companies' business models in the digital economy. Digitalization is a systemic driver of change in entrepreneurial activity, shaping new formats of interaction among companies, customers, government institutions, and digital ecosystems. Platforms are defined as multifunctional systems combining interfaces, databases, analytical modules, and security and access management tools. The methodological basis of the study is a systematic and interdisciplinary approach to analyzing digital platforms of ICT enterprises in the context of societal digitization. The research applies theoretical generalization, typology, structural-functional analysis, and comparison to identify architectural features, scalability, personalization, and ecosystem integration mechanisms. The scientific novelty lies in systematizing platform typologies and clearly defining their architectural characteristics and integration mechanisms. The study demonstrates that digital platforms evolve from functional tools into comprehensive organizational strategies incorporating artificial intelligence, large language models, cloud-edge computing, microservices, Web3, and blockchain technologies. It also analyzes implementation challenges, including technological complexity, heightened cybersecurity and data privacy requirements, regulatory uncertainty, and platform monopolization. The findings confirm that platform integration fosters sustainable competitive advantage, promotes open innovation, reduces transaction costs, and enhances managerial flexibility in a dynamic digital environment. Digital platforms function both as technical solutions and as the foundation of a new economic logic based on network interaction, decentralized governance, co-creation of value, and integration into global technological ecosystems. Sustainable ICT sector development requires an adaptive platform strategy focused on security, innovation, and social responsibility.
