TAXONOMY OF ORGANIZATIONAL DETERMINANTS SHAPING STAKEHOLDER NETWORKS FOR VALUE CO-CREATION
Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by the transition of modern business to network and ecosystem models, in which consumer value is created through coordinated interactions among multiple actors, including enterprises, suppliers, government institutions, professional communities, and digital platforms. Under these conditions, competitiveness is determined not only by the resources of an individual business entity but also by its ability to engage in stakeholder networks and scale mutually beneficial cooperation around jointly created value. The purpose of the article is to develop a conceptual model of stakeholder interaction in value co-creation processes and to define a taxonomy of organizational determinants for the development of such interaction based on this model. The methodological basis of the study comprises a synthesis of stakeholder theory, resource-based view of the firm, service-dominant logic, and actor-network theory. The research employs methods of conceptual modeling, formal logic to substantiate the principles of taxonomy element identification, and systems analysis to determine generic relationships between basic concepts in the subject domain. A conceptual model of the subject domain for organizing stakeholder relationships in joint value creation has been developed, defining a set of basic concepts and establishing generic relationships among them: stakeholders, value co-creation, the interaction space, and co-creation mechanisms. Based on the principles of limitation, mutual benefit, adaptivity, and integrity, formalized through mathematical logic, a five-component taxonomy of organizational determinants has been formed. Structural determinants define the network architecture, topology, and boundary mechanisms of stakeholder networks. Process determinants regulate resource integration, knowledge exchange, and resource transformation in value creation flows. Relational determinants, through attributes of trust, reciprocity, and commitment, determine the quality of interactions among network participants. Cognitive determinants form shared vision, aligned mental models, and cognitive proximity of stakeholders. Governance determinants establish the normative level of coordination and the institutional environment for network functioning. For each group of determinants, a system of metric indicators has been proposed, including network density and centrality measures, resource complementarity indices, levels of inter-organizational trust, and cognitive proximity.
