SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO RESEARCHING THE PROCESSES OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE AGRICULTURAL REGION
Abstract
The article reviews and systematizes scientific and methodological approaches to the study of the issues of sustainable tourism development in agrarian regions. It is noted that for in-depth study and construction of methodological and methodological approaches to the development of tourism, the key is the study of its theoretical basis and the clarification of basic concepts that form the foundation of scientific analysis in this area. It is determined that tourism as an object of scientific analysis is formed at the intersection of economics, sociology, geography, ecology and management. It is noted that the concept of sustainable tourism development in a generalized form should encompass interrelated components that reflect different dimensions of the sustainability of the tourism system: social, budgetary and fiscal, economic, production and resource, financial and investment and cultural and historical. In agrarian regions, the issue of sustainable tourism development gains additional emphasis, since here tourism develops in the forms of rural, green and agrotourism and must be consistent with the seasonality of production, infrastructure limitations, sensitivity to natural and climatic factors and the need to preserve landscapes. Methods for studying the processes of sustainable tourism development must correspond to the complexity of the object by using general scientific and applied techniques that will allow identifying patterns, structuring the tourism system, fixing cause-and-effect relationships and assessing the consequences of management decisions. Systemic and structural-functional approaches make it possible to consider tourism as a whole, in which infrastructure, resources, institutions, business and communities mutually determine the level of sustainability. The normative approach is useful for substantiating threshold values of indicators, which is important for rural areas with limited resources. Sociological methods provide an empirical basis for the needs of tourists and the attitudes of the local population. Statistical analysis and modeling form the basis for quantifying dynamics, forecasting scenarios, and selecting management priorities.
