FACTORS AND MECHANISMS OF THE EVOLUTION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the comprehensive theoretical and methodological substantiation of the factors and mechanisms of evolution of territorial economic systems in the context of ensuring their sustainable development. In this regard, the article considers the systems approach as the interaction of interconnected elements that form the integrity of the system. The definition of "system" is explored, and its key properties are systematically categorized, including complexity, stationarity (the ability to maintain homeostasis), stability, emergence, and others. The article proves that all systems can be conventionally divided into: physical (physical bodies, natural phenomena), technical (machines, devices, engineering complexes), biological (cells, organs, populations, ecosystems), economic (economic entities, production and economic relations, institutions, markets, processes), social (norms, values, family, society, country), information (computer programs, programming languages), and so on. The feedback mechanisms that ensure the management of the state of the territorial economic system are summarized. The article substantiates that negative feedback (regulative, buffer, compensatory mechanisms) is aimed at stabilization and restoration of equilibrium (homeostasis), while positive feedback (evolutionary, innovative, adaptive mechanisms) is aimed at transformation, innovation, and evolutionary development of the system. The scientific significance of the study is confirmed by the formation of a holistic system of knowledge about the factors and mechanisms of the evolution of territorial economic systems. The research results confirm the relevance of further scientific search for the formation of optimization mechanisms in order to substantiate the strategic goals and vectors of development of territorial economic systems. Further research focuses on optimization mechanisms and quantitative models. Specifically, this includes the development of multifactor models for assessing the impact of feedback mechanisms on the stability and emergence of territorial systems, as well as the analysis of institutional factors.
