EFFECTIVE BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS: HOW NEGOTIATION AND CONFLICT MANAGEMENT SHAPE SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURIAL DECISIONS

Abstract

The article explores the issue of improving business communications as a key factor in shaping successful entrepreneurial decisions, emphasizing the role of negotiations and conflict management in ensuring organizational stability and corporate trust. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the principles of forming effective business communications in the entrepreneurial environment, to determine the role of negotiations and conflict management as mechanisms for harmonizing managerial decisions, and to develop proposals for improving the current communicative system of an enterprise. The obtained scientific results indicate a multi-level structure of business communications (strategic, tactical, and operational levels) and their integration with negotiation strategies (competitive, cooperative, and integrative models), which ensure the cyclical interconnection of communication, negotiation, and decision-making. The study presents a five-phase algorithm for diagnosing conflicts (identification, cause analysis, potential assessment, strategy selection, and evaluation of results) and highlights the effectiveness of K. Thomas’s collaboration strategy in transforming contradictions into a source of development. Moreover, it proposes a model of “enterprise communicative maturity” consisting of five levels (reactive, adaptive, systemic, innovative, and leadership), integrating tools such as CRM systems, mediation, and facilitation to enhance organizational efficiency. The practical value of the research lies in the development of recommendations for implementing training programs with modules on negotiation psychology, conflict management, and mediation practice, which contribute to the formation of a corporate culture of trust. This enables enterprises to increase staff resilience, optimize information flows, and institutionalize mediation centers to prevent conflict escalation. Future research perspectives include empirical testing of the communicative maturity model across various business sectors using quantitative metrics such as the emotional climate index.
