INTEGRATION OF INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY PRINCIPLES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HOSPITALITY SECTOR

Abstract

The article highlights the current issues of integrating the principles of inclusion and accessibility into the development of the hospitality sector. The modern tourism and hotel industry is considered as a space in which equal opportunities should be provided for all categories of visitors, including people with disabilities, the elderly, families with children and other groups who face potential barriers to access services. It is noted that inclusion and accessibility are not only an ethical and socially important aspect, but also a factor in economic development, since the focus on universal design and the creation of a barrier-free environment expand the market for tourism services. The key areas of implementation of inclusive approaches are investigated, including physical accessibility of buildings and spaces, information and digital accessibility, which ensures a clear and uniform perception of information for all users, as well as socio-psychological accessibility, which is aimed at creating a comfortable and friendly environment in the interaction of staff with visitors. Special attention is paid to the role of international standards and national regulations that define the framework for the implementation of inclusion policies in the hotel and tourism sectors. Particular attention is paid to the practical aspects of implementing inclusive strategies in the hotel and restaurant sector. The importance of training staff to work with different categories of guests, the formation of a culture of tolerance and service focused on human needs is emphasized. It is determined that the systematic implementation of inclusive approaches requires complex interaction between business, state institutions and public organizations, which allows not only to provide a regulatory basis, but also to create conditions for the practical implementation of accessibility policy. It is proven that the integration of the principles of inclusion and accessibility into the hospitality sector has a positive effect on the quality of service, forms a socially responsible image of enterprises and increases their competitiveness in the global market. Thus, the development of the hospitality industry, considering the needs of all categories of the population, contributes not only to the growth of economic indicators, but also to social integration and an increase in the standard of living of society.
