The relevance of industrial safety today is determined by the fact that it directly affects not only the protection of the life and health of workers, but also the economic performance of enterprises and the development of the state as a whole. In the conditions of global competition, countries with a high level of industrial safety receive such strategic advantages as production stability, cost reduction, image improvement, preservation of human capital, and others. Thus, occupational safety becomes not only a social obligation, but also an important competitive advantage. An economy based on safe labor standards and modern occupational safety technologies has a better chance of attracting investment, expanding export opportunities, and achieving sustainable growth. In scientific research, the method of critical analysis of scientific and methodological literature, practical experience, in accordance with the requirements for the level of methodology and research techniques is used. The choice of specific research methods depends on the conditions and purpose of the research. Methods are an ordered system in which their place is determined in accordance with the specific stage of research, the use of technical techniques and work with theoretical information and certain facts in a given sequence. The article provides a definition of industrial safety, characterizes the main components of the industrial safety system, considers the issue of ensuring industrial safety as an important condition for increasing the competitiveness of the national economy. It is proven that ensuring an adequate level of safety affects the improvement of the financial results of the enterprise. The main problems of the industrial safety system in Ukraine are analyzed. A multifactor strategy is proposed to overcome challenges in the field of industrial safety. Thus, the conducted research allows us to draw conclusions that ensuring industrial safety is not only an ethical requirement and the right of every employee, but also a strategic factor in the sustainable economic development of the country. Successful implementation of a multifactor strategy can not only overcome existing problems, but also lay the foundation for sustainable growth in the competitiveness of the national economy.
