SYNERGY OF CARBON-NEUTRAL TRANSPORTATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS AND INTELLECTUALISATION OF LOGISTICS

Abstract

Achieving the global strategic goal of transitioning to climate neutrality requires the consolidation of carbon-neutral solutions in various sectors of the economy. The development of climate policy and the strengthening of food security are currently being considered in the context of Ukraine's post-war economic recovery. In this context, the integration of carbon-neutral, energy-efficient and digital technologies into the business processes of the agricultural sector and the organisation of agricultural product logistics is of particular importance. Considering this, the article is devoted to studying the synergy of carbon-neutral transportation of agricultural products and the intellectualisation of logistics. The methodological basis of the study consists of methods of system analysis, deduction, induction, comparison, and dialectical cognition. Innovative trends in freight transport in the context of the decarbonisation of transport have been summarised. Among the ways to optimise the use of vehicles for transporting agricultural products, the development of multimodal road freight transport has been highlighted, which involves the use of vehicles running on clean fuels, double-decker trucks, which increase the volume of cargo transported per trip, as well as the intellectualisation of logistics processes. Types of electric vehicles have been identified. A synergistic approach to making logistical decisions to ensure climate neutrality in the transport of agricultural products by road using intelligent systems has been identified. The levels of autonomous vehicles are considered. Directions for ensuring carbon-neutral transportation of agricultural products based on the intellectualisation of logistics are proposed. Eco-indicators have been developed to determine the low-carbon capacity of road transport of agricultural products using intelligent systems. The practical value of the article lies in creating conditions for the introduction of carbon-neutral technologies in agricultural production and strengthening the resilience of agricultural enterprises to the implementation of climate-neutral investment projects based on sustainable development principles. Prospects for further research lie in modelling carbon-neutral transportation of agricultural products using artificial intelligence.
