INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGING IN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the distinctive features of intellectual property management in Ukrainian agricultural enterprises operating under martial law, with a special focus on the formulation and implementation of robust strategies for the commercialization of advanced agricultural technologies. It is established that the prevailing conditions in the agricultural sector are characterized by heightened volatility and systemic uncertainty, which necessitate the adoption of forward-thinking approaches to managing intangible assets as pivotal elements for sustaining and enhancing competitiveness. The research substantiates the urgency of transitioning to a strategic model of intellectual property management, one that encompasses legal protection, economic valuation, partnership development, and the digitalization of commercialization processes. Special emphasis is placed on designing a multi-tiered strategy for the commercialization of agricultural innovations. This includes the identification and cataloging of intellectual property assets, the selection of appropriate technology transfer channels, the establishment of agricultural innovation clusters, and the deployment of digital platforms. Key barriers to effective management are identified, such as fragmented legal frameworks, constrained financial resources, and the limited institutional capacity of agricultural enterprises. The analysis highlights the pivotal role of partnerships with academic institutions and international organizations, along with the strategic integration of intangible assets into the broader business model of agricultural enterprises. The article concludes effective intellectual property management in the agricultural sector must be grounded in the principles of flexibility, integrativity, continuity, and value creation. It asserts that the strategic deployment of agricultural innovations is essential for ensuring long-term enterprise sustainability, enhancing productivity, and facilitating access to global markets.
