MODELS OF ENSURING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF SMALL BUSINESSES: DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN EXPERIENCE OF THEIR IMPLEMENTATION
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of theoretical and applied aspects of formation of competitiveness of small business enterprises on the basis of international experience and its adaptation to Ukrainian realities. The paper analyzes the main foreign models of ensuring competitiveness. The advantages and disadvantages of applying each model in the context of the national economy, as well as the role of public policy, institutional support, digital technologies and environmental responsibility in increasing the competitiveness of small enterprises are considered. An important place in the study is occupied by a comparative analysis of approaches to the formation of competitive advantages of small businesses in countries with different economic models. It is emphasized that in the context of globalization and market instability, the ability of small enterprises to quickly adapt to changes, introduce innovations and develop sustainable business practices is of particular relevance. Based on the experience gained, the author proposes his own model of balanced competitiveness of small businesses in Ukraine. It is based on the following key principles: ensuring economic anti-growth (as a counteraction to excessive resource consumption), rational consumption (optimization of production and demand), environmental responsibility (eco-friendly approach), safety of doing business and consumption of products (regulatory stability, quality, transparency), and digitalization of business processes (IT integration, automation, online presence). The proposed model is an attempt to combine the best practices of leading countries, taking into account the limitations and challenges of the Ukrainian economy: martial law, macroeconomic instability, limited access to financing, the need for environmental modernization. This approach is aimed at achieving sustainable growth of small business in Ukraine, increasing its role in the economy and strengthening competitive positions in domestic and foreign markets. The conclusion is made about the need to implement a comprehensive state policy that stimulates innovation, safety, environmental friendliness and digital transformation of small business as the basis of a modern model of economic development.
